Architectural Project by Studio Architetture Architect Mariani
The area is included within the perimeter of the Villa Fiammetta public gardens, a public park that has been a green space since 1980. The park, degraded and poorly functioning, has undergone a remodeling project to renovate its surface and green spaces, and the construction of an underground parking garage.
The project involved the construction of an L-shaped garage spread over two underground levels, containing 96 garages (43 on the first underground level and 51 on the second underground level) and 8 parking spaces on the first underground level.
The dimensions of the two rectangles that make up the L-shaped plan of the garage measure approximately 48.00 x 27.00 m (the larger rectangle with the longest side in the east-west direction) and approximately 10.50 x 28.00 m (the smaller rectangle with the longest side in the north-south direction).
The total surface area of the garage on each floor measures approximately 1600.00 m2.
The garage's access consists of a two-way vehicle ramp, located on the curved branch of Via Prà, which borders the Villa Fiammetta park in that section, and two stairways for the emergency pedestrian exit that lead to the garage roof, which has been converted into a park for the Villa.
The project is completed by the implementation of various surface development works for recreational, sporting and green purposes.
The structural effort, as is usual in these works, was of a geotechnical nature due to the need to carry out deep excavations adjacent to structures such as a large reinforced concrete wall that separated the area from another property and the presence of buildings in the vicinity of the excavation.
