The project, which is part of a complex of works for the installation of a new pipeline for the collection of wastewater at the Pegli purification plant, includes interventions such as:
The construction of a new lifting station for the supply of waste water to the purification plant;
The construction of an emergency drain;
Intervention for the modernization and adaptation of the civil and plant engineering aspects of the purification plant premises;
The reconstruction of the promenade with new high-quality paving along the entire affected section.
The project required architectural design work for both the new lift station and the outdoor spaces surrounding the promenade.
As for the paving of the promenade, since open-air excavations were carried out for the new sewer systems, this was reproduced maintaining the original design, modifying the type of tiles to match the continuation of the route.
In the area above the lift station, street furniture has been positioned, in line with that already present along the route, to define a space for rest and socializing along the route.
As for the paving, a design similar to that of the existing promenade was adopted.
