Energy Performance Report
The project involves the redevelopment of the entire Volpara complex, including the demolition of the former incinerator building, which has been abandoned for decades, the construction of a new waste collection center in the upper plaza area, with adequate space for waste disposal, and the creation of a reuse center in the two-story building currently used as offices.
The project's goal is primarily to promote proper waste disposal by citizens, thanks to an organized and easily accessible collection center.
Secondly, the new reuse centre aims to promote product upcycling through good practices of repair, recycling and creativity.
Particular attention was paid to defining a new internal road system, designed to better manage traffic disruptions, and to establishing new green spaces throughout the site to mitigate the impact of existing activities and increase soil permeability.
Furthermore, within the new reuse center, accessibility to the parking area and the building itself has been ensured, thanks to the inclusion of tactile paving and careful design of the interior spaces.
The addition of some furnishings has also been studied, so as to allow users to linger in the new green area designed for this project.
Along with the modification of the spaces and the resurfacing of the slopes in some sections, the rainwater network was renewed, making some additions to the existing system.
