The project involves the partial renovation of the sewerage system in the municipalities of Torriglia and Propata, in the Brugneto basin, and the construction of a new SBR purification plant to replace the existing one.
This plant, located in the Albora area, will replace the existing one and the Bavastri plant and has been sized to treat wastewater arriving from the towns of Albora and Caffarena (Propata) and Garaventa and Bavastri (Torriglia).
The proposed interventions can be summarized as follows:
Construction of works to collect wastewater from the Garaventa area and transport it to a small sewerage pumping station that will then transport the sewerage to the existing sewer collector on the municipal road;
Gravity extension of the existing Bavastri sewer system from the current discharge point to the bridge over the Brugneto.
Construction of a lifting system for pumping sewage to the new purification plant;
Removal of the existing Albora plant and construction of a new SBR plant sized to accommodate the total number of users served by the two existing plants. The new plant will be located adjacent to the municipal road, accessible via a small connecting ramp. Given the particular environmental significance of the area, the plant was designed to minimize its impact on the local area.
Rationalization works on the existing SDS for lifting wastewater from the town of Albora Bassa. Specifically, the project includes the construction of a small access ramp to the plant and the execution of modest support structures to create an "orderly" surface for plant maintenance.
